WHAT IS MINDFULNESS?

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.


WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO MINDFULNESS TRAINING?

Dr. Mounzer is a certified MLP Mindfulness teacher. With the MLP approach, mindfulness is much more than learning to be present in the moment. It is the ability to be present with clarity and discernment; it is the ability to experience life (events, people, thoughts and emotions) consciously and respond with wisdom. The MLP approach helps to bring wisdom into the moments of your life; it helps you to recognize unhealthy habits and tendencies and cultivate the ability to make healthy choices that are in alignment with your values. The MLP approach will help you develop clarity, mental and emotional balance all toward leading a meaningful life.


COULD I BENEFIT FROM COACHING?

The best athletes have coaches, and we think the best leaders should too. We all have room to grow, and we could do so better with an experienced partner to help us on the journey. Coaches can help us in a myriad of ways, but two of the most fundamental ones are:

  • They have a different perspective from ours. Often, we are limited in our growth by limited self-awareness. A coach can see the situation in a way we can’t.

  • They are on your team. A coach can fundamentally be your advocate and yet independent from you in a way that is different from anyone else.
